| Hawaii
is, for me, the one place on the planet where I feel at home. I can be myself.
My hair is long, my clothes are casual and my attitude is generally "Live
& Let Live". I wear slippahs, cargo shorts and t-shirts sporting the
names of hard rock bands from the 80's that I still listen to on a daily basis.
I have lived on the island
of Hawaii since 1990. Many years in Kona, a few years in Waimea and the rest of
my years will be in Mountain View, tucked away in the rainforest. Some
days I am self-employed and others I am self-unemployed. During those self-unemployed
days I usually grab my camera and head out to Volcanoes National Park, the ocean
or some other unknown destination. I
have been exploring the island enthusiastically with my camera for the past 6
years and have always enjoyed photography. The problem is that I was never very
good at it until I had finally spent 100s of hours practicing. Those 100s of hours
taught me how to slow down, become observant and enjoy the process. I
look forward to experiencing the future I have chosen for myself as a photographer
and I invite you to visit Hawaii. While you are here slow down, become observant
and enjoy the process. Almost
forgot, my name is Tony. |
